And the idea for SiBobsAdventures came to me while I was on holiday in Menorca.
How It All Began
My story with Menorca really began in 2024 when I finally took my first holiday since the pandemic. I stayed at Globales Los Delfines, and during that trip I met Paul and Holly. I call Paul (orca in Menorca)
As someone with a disability, I'm often shy, quiet, reserved, and happy to keep myself out of the spotlight. But somehow, against all odds, we quickly became great friends and we've been inseparable ever since.
When I'm with them, I come out of my shell and that doesn't happen very often. We've returned to Menorca together every year since, creating amazing memories along the way, and we're already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

I love it so much that I'm planning to get a Globby tattoo as a lasting reminder of the memories, friendships, and happiness I've found there.
I would like to say an heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff as their kindness, patience, and support have made every visit truly special. They consistently go above and beyond to accommodate my disability and ensure that I can take part in the activities and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. Although I've never won but it's all about raking part that counts.
Their efforts have helped make me feel welcomed, included, and part of the family. Especially V, Mar, who decided to facepain the Globby tattoo on my leg, well talk about that later.
Travelling with a disability
It's not always easy. But it's always worth it.
Living with a disability can make travel feel daunting. There are many things to think about, places that aren't as accessible as they should be, and moments where you wonder if it's all worth the effort.
But my experiences flying from Manchester airport with a sunflower lanyard has made that a breeze. Menorca have shown me that the right destination, the right people, and a little courage can open up a world you never expected. I want SiBobsAdventures to be proof of that and for anyone who's ever talked themselves out of a trip because it felt too complicated, overwhelming and stressful.
You deserve adventures too. Don't let anything convince you otherwise.
What is SiBobsAdventures?
SiBobsAdventures is my way of sharing those experiences, the friendships I've made, the places that have moved me, and the adventures that continue to bring me back to Menorca year after year. It's honest, it's personal, and it's for anyone who loves a good story.
